[RC] feeding differences - Alice Yovich

My horses (horse and pony) are on two acres with a run in shed and they have free choice grass or hay depending on the time of year. They each eat 2-3 pounds of feed per day and that's all. On one hand, i always thought that with them eating so little it didn't really matter what they ate, but I notice that my mare really doesn't hold her weight well on some of the textured grains. She's got a finicky topline so I have to keep her "tanked up" She's not picky about eating at rides, which helps a lot.
