[RC] L-Tryptophan - Nancy Reed

L-Tryptophan was a BIG deal in the late 80’s as a cure all for nerves, insomnia and general human craziness not requiring antipsychotic medications.  The manufacturer in Japan got a bright idea to change the manufacturing process to make more, less expensive L-Tryptophan.  Problem was they also removed a quality control step or two and what they made was toxic.  The “new” L-Tryptophan caused horrible damage to heart, lungs and other internal organs and spawned the toxic tort legation we all love to hate today.

I would NEVER give my horse or any living thing I love L-Tryptophan.  Sorry, I witnessed too much suffering in the name of money or more correct greed, to ever take that chance.

PS For those of you who are interested the bad batches of L-Tryptophan caused excessive amounts of eosinophils to collect in the blood vessels and internal organs.  Google eosinophilia for more info. Oh, and our horse love Manna Sr.
