Indeed he did.  The Utez son U-Ari (bred by Loyd) was around in the Boise
area when I was a kid, and I used to run barrels against either him or one
of his sons (can't recall precisely) in High School Rodeo Club competition
on my foundation stallion Surrabu.

Ironically, I now own a stallion (Revran Playboy, by Farlowa) whose
maternal granddam is a Loyd Silva mare--by Utez and out of Anaroneka.

I've run into Utez breeding in all sorts of interesting places.
