One of the interesting results of our country's agrarian past is that with
the exception of a fanny flag (slow moving implement sign) "implements of
husbandry"   do not have to obey most of the rules of the road.  For
example, no licensed driver, no license plate, no minimum speed, etc.

I suspect that the 500 foot rule, and move over when you can to let traffic
by may apply, but are seldom enforced.  The other side of the coin is that
inconvenience is no excuse for drivers to pass in an unsafe manner, but try
to tell that to 18 yr old male, high on testosterone.

Yes, I could curl your hair with tales of my own driving between 16 and 26.
Somehow, the arrival of my first child coincided with a return to sanity.
