[RC] Movin On Up - Susan Young

I'd like to thank the Movin On Up ride management and volunteers for an EXCELLENT ride this past Saturday.  Bruce and Louise Burton of Okmulgee, OK, have been putting on MOU since 1998 (I think) as a challenge to limited distance riders to MOVE UP to the endurance distance.  There were two first-time 50-milers and several riders who'd done their first 50 at MOU.  Katy Tynes, who did her first 50 at MOU several years ago, won Best Condition on Savoy's Son.  The Burtons had his parents; Bruce rode his sire, Savoy, and Jesse is still riding the dam, Blaze.

The weather was great and the trails were PERFECT!!  The vets are some of the best in the sport and the awards are NEAT.  If you look up "organized" in the dictionary, you'll see Louise's picture.  The Burtons and their volunteers put in a LOT of hard work, elbow grease, sweat, tears, blood and time to put on this wonderful ride.  Each of you has my deepest appreciation!  Thank you!!
