listening to a fellow name
of Tommy Terry, the weather Guru,
Well, the Ridecamp Drama Queen is only exaggerating a little bit this time, especially where he lives.

I have fondly started referring to Tom Terry as, Tom Terrific.  If Ivan comes close to Florida and you have a chance, tune in via computer to WFTV.com. They were streaming live broadcast and I think Tom Terrific stayed on the air for 96 hours straight. His computer technology is so sophisticated that when he zoomed in on Ormond Beach to warn of impending tornados, I truly saw The Flying Gator rocking in Howard's backyard!  Not really, but it seems like Tom could indeed zoom right into your neighborhood.

Charley blew hard for a short time, lots of trees came down everywhere. Frances has left a lot of water, the St. Johns River, which flows north, will be rising for few more days and it is raining again today.

What does this have to do with endurance?  With all this debris having to be cut up and hauled off the Florida riders should be in good shape!  And most of us haven't even had a chance to get out to our trails to see what needs to be cleared just to get around. It will truly be long, slow, distance!

Happy Trails somewhere!
