You've misunderstood my post.  I am a very firm believer in that only
quality horses should be bred to quality horses but that's another
topic. The point I was trying to make is that if you find a horse with
the conformation, brain, and attitude FOR ENDURANCE the specific breed
of horse shouldn't matter.  Since this is an endurance forum I didn't
think I had to be that specific in my post. :-)

Sorry...  There's "breeds" and there's "breeding."  All breeds have a
history of horses that were bred to use--and with light breeds, that means
being bred to ride.  You can find horses of prit-near any breed that have
good riding qualities--that have still been bred in the tradition of good
riding horses.  That was the point I was making.
