Re: [RC] newbie wondering out loud - Suzi Maiorisi

Amen to that!  My sister (who will ride almost anything!) won't even consider getting on Holly and after sending her to the trainer this spring I learned it WAS indeed ME who was the problem and finally took the time to get us back on the same page.  Thanks to all on Ridecamp who talked me through the early summer so that we could now even consider going to our first LD ride rather than giving up (as I was advised to do by my sister and the trainer) and selling my wonderful horse.  She's no angel and will continue to challenge me, but she is the love of my life and the most fun I've had since I can't remember when.  I can't imagine going out my back door and not hearing her greeting or seeing her mischievous, sweet eyes.  She's not crazy, just smart, curious, entertaining, busy (specially tied to the trailer at night!), funny, playful, and beautiful to boot, and a Morgan Smiley emoticon
Love my girl,
Suzi.

It can also come from people who have no clue about *horses*. They are
just sure the problem couldn't be *them* so the horse must be crazy. If
Kaboot had been owned by someone who wanted him to drop his head and trot
in place he would definately have been considered "certifiable".  I see
the same things with kids at school. The ones that the English teacher
considers A.D.D because he can't sit still may be the coach's dream. The
English teacher's favorite is considered a total slug by the coach. Sooo
much depends on everyone and everything ending up where they belong and
can be appreciated. All it takes is one impatient untalented owner for
Heidi's best foal ever to get sent to the sale. I don't buy at sales, but
have been happy to buy horses that somebody else brought home from the
sale after they took the risk.
