[RC] explosive reactions - Ed Kilpatrick

i think you need to go back to some basic groundwork with this horse.  you need to work on lateral flexion to get the horse soft and relaxed.   the horse gets scared or tense, the neck stiffens up, he doesnt pay attention to you and just reacts in whatever way he feels like.  you arent really in charge and he knows it.    also, do lots of work with him so that he walks, trots, and canters when you want him to and not when he decides.     ed
