One of my old favorites:

Riders by Jilly Cooper.

It's about the world of international show jumping, and can get a little racy 
at times, but it's a great read.  You fall in love with the horses 
too....especially one called Sailor.  :)

Two very good fiction horse books I have recently read are:

Dark Horse by Tami Hoag- suspense, murder mystery type set in the Palm Beach 
Dressage community.

Riding Lessons by Sara Gruen- Story about a woman who moves back to her 
family's horse farm in New Hampshire after a divorce...really nice feel good 
read.  I passed my copy along to Alice at the Parrie Haynes ride after 
finishing it and told her to keep it moving around our region 4 family

I have read lots of non-fiction horse books, but my current addiction is 
fiction novels with horsey themes, so I am taking notes on this thread as it 
has given me some new "must reads" to look for.
