RE: [RC] [RC] Zen approach - Jody Rogers-Buttram

Howard, from what I can tell.....you STAY on that other side.  You know...Way out there.

PS.  Not a personal attack, that was a joke.  Don't want the Howard Sympathizers to jump on me.

Zen = Buddha = horse

There is a spiritual side of the horse that few can see. But, once you've
traveled there, to that other side, the metaphysical part of the world
rarely visited by man (and, frequently visited by the horse), you will find
yourself spending more and more time there. My horse, he takes me there, to
that other side.

cya,
Howard (it's the only way to be)

I now know that if a Zen, low key, praise approach is used I can learn =
physical skills

Ed, I so appreciated reading that post. I had heard that both Buck and Ray
can be rude and blunt towards the people he is teaching, form 2 different
people who went to them.I would shut down, and learn nothing, in that
environment, and would never subject myself to working with them in a
clinic. Their gift is obviously teaching horses. I did audit a clinic with
Tom Dorrance many years ago, and he was very gentle, never humilating the
people trying to learn from him. Reading the part about the gym teachers was
so true, and very funny...
