I have a wide withered, hard to fit Morgan mare. I've had several different saddles for her and tried lots more. I've found the tree sizes are not standard and I can't go by size. I bought a Tucker saddle for "wide" withers, it wasn't as wide as my Crates with semi Quarter bars, then bought a Crates with a flex tree and full quarter bars, it also isn't as wide as the old Crates with semi Quarter bars. My Abetta saddle with an Arab tree fits her perfect but it is exactly like my friends barrel racing saddle with full quarter bars (which fits nothing like my Crates with full quarter bars, or the "wide" Tucker). I don't think there is a lot of standardization in saddle fit.
