Just some
ramblings from a Tevis wanna be. Some day - it's a plan. Any how, I
think the question of "where were the American companies?" is a dam good
question. As trails & lands that have been traveled by horses for
hundreds of years are being closed off to riders where is the support from
US companies? The more I think about it the more irritated I
become.
Maybe all
ride managers should look for sponsors, even if they are small, local companies
that know nothing about endurance. We should educate them. The "big"
rides, like Tevis, should actively seek sponsorship from "big" companies.
How about the makers of Gator Aid? Lots of rides get sponsorship from
our tack dealers & that's great but maybe we should be "thinking
bigger". (I hate to say this, "thinking out of the box".)
