[RC] Canon size - Susan Jones

After trying to read through the archives with my very slow dial-up internet
connection, it seems time to just ask a question that's been on my mind.

So many people mention their horse's canon bone size. My horse looks like
he has substantial legs, but I'd never measured. Today I measured and found
the front were right at 8 inches just below the knee, but the rear are about
an inch larger. I used a plastic-coated measuring tape and pulled it tight
so believe these are real numbers.

When the canon size is stated, is that on the front?

Susan
