[RC] California Trails Conference - Val Nicoson

Sorry all...only on the archives and wanted to learn
more.
Jeannie Gillen...Am interested in how you are getting
bicyclists and others interested in sharing trails
with horses. At work we have a few folks who do long
bike rides and whenever I mention sharing the trails
with horses there is a definite negative.
Have discussed this with my non-horsey husband and
older son (23) and they agree with the bicyclists.
How do you get around the issue of horse manure on the
trail? That is the biggest negative that I hear from
those who do not wish to share the trail with horses.
I doubt if most horse riders will want to get on/off
all the time. So how does one work around this issue?
Curious,
Val
