[RC] Puffy fetlocks????? - Laurie Durgin

I am pretty sure it has something to do with the month long rains, the muddy hilly pasture, but Rascal has slight puffiness around both rear fetlocks. doestn't seem lame in barnyard, when he salked out. I looked for scratches, nothing. Course I saw him gallop down the hill in the mud , Sat. when I put hay out.(idiot, I said, he wasn't really afraid of me rolling the hayring up hill).
I hosed, I felt. right around the rear sesimoid in the fetlock slightly above and around the rear of the fetlocks. I wouldn't say there is any or much heat, they feel the same temp. I even felt his front, seem real close to same temp. He doesn't seem tender.
No history or any injury there . He has medium pasturns. not shod on back.12 years old arab. Called my daughters barn. She suggested DMSO on them, and see if they were better tomorrow.
I hosed them first.Could have happened anytime since Sat. As I only fed between rainstorms and everyone was covered in mud till I brushed them off this evening when feeding.
Doesn't look real bad, just not normal. No swelling in canon/tendon area above it.
Wondering if I should put him up, wrap etc. She didn't seem to think too, said they are having similiar things cause of all the mud.....Didn't seem to thionk I neede to bute or anything.
Course I read my two vet books and they have me worried about Sesmoidiatis (sp, books are upstairs)., or digital flexor tendons.... Seems similiar to a slight ankle sprain I have had.....
What do you think???
