It is long, runs under the saddle, divides, and hooks with 2 snaps to the front dees. I've used it a lot with no problems. The opposing forces of the breast collar and the crupper are then at the same spot.> My saddle does not have a crupper ring, and as a result i have been leading my horse down many hills because my saddle has recently started to slip very badly. It would be great if someone could tell me where i could get one of these cruppers, and whether a breast collar is also necissary. Thanks, Daisy
