[RC] Allergies - Kristi Schaaf

Reply to Caglehead01

I have a 6 yoa Arab gelding with bad seasonal
allergies. Last year was horrid - they affected his
upper respiratory tract. His eyes/nose ran constantly,
his lymph nodes under his jaw area swelled, and he
looked/felt miserable. I thought he was a roarer
because he sounded like one (until the roaring went
away after the first frost). I was really disappointed
because he has the potential to be a nice distance
horse. So, I did some 'research' and decided to try a
few things. This year he's fed garlic (by Wendal's
Herbs), MSM, and APF (Advanced Protection Formula),
and so far his allergies haven't appeared! The summer
is young yet, so he may not be in the clear, but so
far so good. I realize that if I end up competing in
AERC with him, I'll have to knock out the MSM, but
right now I'm too chicken to stop any of the three
supplements since I don't know which ones are/aren't
really helping. Best wishes, Kristi iluvdez at yahoo

It is how we "feel" deep inside that matters, cause each of us knows the
truth, regardless of how we try make it complicated. It just isn't.
