this year's boston marathon was held on april 19th, in record setting
heat for the area,  85 degrees.  in spite of that, the winning times for
the 26.2 mile course were 2:10:57  for the men's division and 2:24:37
for the women's division.   a very large number of competitors did not
finish due to the heat. now,  go back and look at those times again.
thats movin on!

And now ask them to keep up that pace for 4 times the distance...  The
cream of the endurance crop can and does do 100s in under 8:40--sometimes
WELL under 8:40!
