Here in Santa Cruz County banana slugs are entirely bright yellow (and very slimy). One can see UCSC T-shirts just about anywhere for sale, bearing a caricature of a slug and the motto Fiat Slug. This was taken from the UC system motto Fiat Lux, meaning "let there be light", so Fiat Slug would mean "let there be slug." It's really rather cute. LOL...Those sound like really cute shirts. If I ever make it out to Santa Cruz, I'm DEFINITELY going to buy one!
