FYI,

The equine ID task force has just been formed and is in the very long process 
of coming up with a plan that will have the very least impact on the horse 
population as possible while allowing for a 48 hour traceback in the event of 
the discovery of a contagious disease in an equine that poses a threat to 
humans and or livestock.  No reason to panic over this.  The task force is made 
up of the most influential Equine Organization leaders.  It is equine industry 
driven and not government.  The horse owner's rights and interest are top 
priority.  A plan is a long way off and every horse owner is welcomed to let 
their feelings be known.  The person making the announcement on Ridecamp does 
not have accurate or current information.
