To me, this was the coolest thing about my horse, Harca.  He just LOVED going down the trail.  NO need to push or prod, he really wanted to see what was around that next corner.  Too cool.  He did eat, drink, pee, and poop like a champ, but the joy in riding him and what made him a really fun 100 miler was just his own joy in seeing what was around that next corner.  He also really loved that Tevis trail...you could just FEEL it in him.
