Re: [RC] Bob Marshall Treeless Saddles - Tracy Cann

Has anyone had any problems with the Bob Marshall and their horses back? Such as causing a Sub.Hematoma??? I am gong thourgh that now with my Quarter horse and the vet seems to think that it was the problem. He has not ruled out rolling on a rock or such. But the saddle is the only thing different, that I had done with him.I had bought the saddle because I was trying to keep from ever hurting his back. So has anyone ever had tis problem??? Please let me know>.

I I love my Bob Marshall and have had zero problem with it.  Actually it solved more than one problem with more than one horse.  What kind of pad were you using when you rode in it?  I use a Skito and there are other just as good or maybe better pads out there.  I've just been told that you can't use "any old pad" with a Bob Marshall saddle.  It has to be a pad designed for this saddle.  Anyway, just a thought.  Maybe you were using a great pad and something weird happened, or maybe it was the "rolling on a rock thing" your vet thought of.  Good luck.
