==========================================

I had a Shelter dog that was lab/shorthair(?), he would go all year round.
Wheather it was in the 80's or in the teens. We lived in the open foothill
country, no bears, bikers, hikers, cars, ATV's or human activity in general.He
did learn the "hard" way to stay out of the path of a galloping horse in the
deep snow, after a couple tumbles he got behind. In the summer until the
weather went towards the 90 degree mark, he would come. I had 8 waterbottles
that I would carry, I would stop and pull out a waterbottle and squirt it down
to him. KC would open his mouth and drink his fill. Whenever he would get into
hunting/deaf mode, I would just kick the horse up and disappear, he learned to
stick with me. I really miss that little guy, he was a great companion and
friend.
