Re: [RC] wireless camera for trailer - Dolores Arste

This one is not exactly like the one I got. But, is close enough. I've had
mine for about 2 years. It takes a bit of ingenuity to mount the camera.
Mine is mounted with Stick on clothes hooks. They are fairly big ones and
will hold 5 lbs. I used three to create a mount for the camera. You should
be able to screw these in but I haven't needed to yet.

I've had it mounted in two trailers an aluminum two horse and now my Jamco 3
horse with living quarters and the signal reaches the truck just fine. We
not talking DVD quality picture. But the picture is good enough to tell that
everyone is happy and well. I can see two horses. For a third, I'd have to
get another camera. The system is set up for multiple cameras. Its a manual
switch to switch cameras on the receiver.

The cameras and receiver are 12 volt systems. But, they don't come with
cigarette lighter plugs. A trip to radio shack solved that problem. The TV
receiver plugs into the outlet in the truck. I tapped into the trailer
wiring with an auxiliary cigarette plug outlet. The camera plugs into that.
The extras cost less than $50-

You can be pretty creative to save $650-

This set up has travelled about 4000 miles so far.

You don't have to be a 100-mile rider or a multi-day rider to be an
endurance rider, but if you want to experience the finest challenges our
sport has to offer, you need to do both of those.
