here is what i recommend for new riders on a tight budget.  you would probably sleep just fine rolled up in a wool blanket, lying on the tailgate of your truck.  this will toughen you up so that you can finish that ride the next day. it keeps you off the ground and out of the way of those loose horses too!   sleep in your clothes with your boots on, just in case you are sleeping so soundly that you miss the wakeup call!   :-)  ed
