Re: [RC] Wolves not Wolfes/ get real guys - John and Rose Muffett

seems to me the biggest predator of all is a developer. How about let's converse about how we can preserve what precious little is left of riding places, open space and public lands? Just another thought.>

this is very true, much of the area surrounding us has been developed although our land hasn't.  Plus the increase in population of predators has greatly increased because of the changes in hunting practice laws.  we have wonderful dirt trails here and we do share our private trails if someone asks permission.  when the forest lands are closed due to fire restrictions, the beach and dunes is closed because of the nesting birds, etc. our trails here at home are not closed.  We really need to preserve our use on public lands or one day there will not be any wilderness area that we can legally access for our own pleasure of riding our horse.  the beaches and dunes in my area used to be a wonderful place to train and ride.  Now there are fenced areas where no one is allowed to enter.  It's sad, very sad.  I can see restricting some motor vehicle use in those areas, as I know the damage we have had here at times from kids on 4-wheelers and motorcycles.  But, have never seen any damage here at home from horse use on our trails, never.
