[RC] Cruppers & breast collar - sherman

Hello Ridecampers,
After riding a few very steep and long trails today in preparation for our first 50, we decided my daughter's horse cannot do without a crupper on steep hills (her belly keeps the saddle from sliding back going up these same hills) and I need a breast collar and possibly a crupper, too, so I'll probably end up buying 2 of each. I do have limited funds, so want to be careful about what I buy and I do want to have equipment that works well for the horse and is reliable. Is there anything I need to know about cruppers before going out to buy one (or 2), or all they all made equally well? And what about breast collars?  Is neoprene a good choice if the horse is not alergic to it, or is there a superior material that I should look for. Is there a particular style that works better for endurance riding? We both have western style endurance saddles (Big Horn). Your help is appreciated.
