[RC] laying in a ditch-oops - RENESPONY

"Laying in a ditch" was intended for another ride list. Maybe I have a
concussion?
oops. but good story anyway. Now I know this horse will leave me and get
himself lost. scary thoughts for someone aiming for tevis and OD type rides in
the
future.
when i hit the ground my first thought was" oh no, the road"
my second though was "he cant do this crap at tevis, we'll get killed"

Riding alone is when you teach a horse all the "tools" and "cues" he needs
to handle the trail, to hold a speed, deal with hills, etc. It's also where
you develop the "bond" that causes him to "defer" to you before losing his
cool.
