LOL,that's the key to training... you can get a horse
to do almost anything in a round pen, but will he do
the same thing out in the real world???

I rode my filly a grand total of 3 times in the round
pen. The rest of our work has been in the pasture or
out in areas where she will need to know how to act.

are a lot of fun,and responds to all of that stuff
perfectly. None of that goes with him to
under-saddle work.Chico would make a monkey out of
Pat Parelli if he tried to scout with him at low
speed at a field trial.
