[RC] Saddle History Buffs? - Linda B. Merims

I found a wonderful old (said to be c. 1930's) saddle
at a tack shop in Oneida.  I've never seen anything
like it before.  It's a strange hybrid between
a modern English-style saddle, but with Western-style
features such as a yoke, center-fire girth rigging
and a separate cantle seat for your fanny carved
into the tree above the tree's panels.

It says it was made by "Robinson-McGill Mfg. Co,
Shelbyville, Tenn"

Anybody know anything about this manufacturer?
Or know anybody who might know?
