Post legged in a Paso, just like in any other breed, does not refer  to
the pasterns -- it refers to lack of angulation through the hock  joint,
also called "straight behind".  It's a conformation that might  be
somewhat desireable in a jumping horse or a racing thoroughbred,

Actually, no, it is a serious fault in just about any athletic pursuit. 
In jumpers, the horse needs the angulation to generate "spring" and in
racing, the horse needs the angulation to be able to reach waaaay up
underneath and then extend, to get a decent stride length.  I can imagine
situations where it could be less of a problem (very short "sprint"
situations, etc.) but can't imagine any situation in which it is actually
desirable.
