Re: [RC] APF What is in it, and would residues from its administrationviolate rule 13? - Truman Prevatt

Any drug found in concentrations of less than 5 half lives of it establisth therapeutic dosage level is premissable. Any durg found in concentrations of 5 half lives of it established therapeutic dosage level is in violation of the AERC durg rule.

Have the pharmacology department of  the Cornell, UC Davis, UF, Auburn, you pick it, vet school give the AERC the established therapeutic dosage levels.

There - I've thrown my fish on the table. Hack it up.

I would presume that WE includes Truman Prevatt. Let us all see your improved Rule to replace the current Rule 13!

But if you read rule 13 in says "exogenously administered compunds even if normally found endogenously" - that is if you don't like Se repalce it with vit E or vit C or vit B or any other normal substance you want to consider.

The AERC drug policy was developed and promoted by one of the visionaries in the AERC - Kerry Ridgeway. He is a wonderful and caring person, however, like any visionary he needs other people to fill in the details of what the policy means. That is what is missing. Why the hell is MSM banned when a) it most likely will not test and b) clinical trials have shown it has no pharmacological effects?

We need to formulate a RULE base on a POLICY that verbalizes a PHILOSOPHY we all agree on.  All we have in the rules is PHILOSOPHY.  Philosophy is worthless as a rule if it can't be enforced and if it won't test it can't be enforced.

Your argument about Se is pure BS.  Se is a normal part of all the forage in our country.  It is absolutely required for life.  Supplementing in areas where it is low is not using a drug, anymore than supplementing carbohydrates by giving corn to a horse is using a drug.
