RE: [RC] [RC] Soaked Flake Hay While Trailering - Kristene Smuts

All I have room for in my trailer is hay. >>

OK, help me out here, please. I understand that the designs of your trailers
are a bit different to our trailers, so, where exactly does the hay go? In a
manger type affair in the front of the trailer? What about the slant-load
trailers?

Our trailers have a space in front of the horse's head that is big enough for a
hay bag to hang and also for a person to either sit or stand in front of the
horse. What I've done successfully with one trip is to take a 120L dustbin
with soaked hay in it and just fastened it with a cargo tie-down strap to the
side of the box.

If you have a manger type arrangement for the hay, why not get a smaller
container and try the same thing? The options for DIYers are endless!
