The report stated that one line to Poco Bueno would not 
result in the skin problem, but linebreeding Poco Bueno could 
result in the skin problem.  To me, that is "causing."

Ah, but it's not *linebreeding* that is causing the problem,
it's linebreeding to that particular individual.  That's an
important distinction, in my book. :)

As others have said, linebreeding/inbreeding does not *cause*
things, it only increases the probability of seeing the traits
that the individual being linebred *to* may have had.
