I'd do it, just for the sake of science.  I'd probably do a research ride
as
well, depending on the requirements.

It goes without saying that friends would all be drafted, with a post-it
note tacked to the empty stall saying, "I've borrowed your horse"<g>.

Part of the problem is also that the people most willing and interested in
research participation are often those whose horses are already
well-managed.  The riders of the most interest are those who always race for
the win and consequences be damned, who think peeing coffee is okay if the
horse just had a drink and embrace concepts such as "first loser".
Unfortunately, those riders rarely if ever volunteer for research samples.
Dunno if it's a Cleopatra complex or just too close to a reality check or
what.
