The excellent vet we have had at our rides started doing exit cri's a couple
of years ago.  While as a rider it is a pain, I feel that it is the biggest
improvement since electrolites.  It give her a last chance to look at an
equine, and spots horses who have developed problems during the hold.

It should be standard operating procedure at most vet checks.
