Ok, I think I misunderstood your question.  You are saying that a specific
rider started at 6:30, crossed the finish line at 5:00 and had 90 minutes of
holds?  Then yes, his riding time should be about 9 hours.

Unfortunately, to get riding times posted correctly can be a real battle
sometimes.  The RM has to fix it.  I have one this year that is posted as 45
minutes longer than what I actually took--as are all of the riders who
finished behind me.  The ones ahead of me are posted correctly.  Go figure.
But somehow whoever was doing the math didn't subtract one of the holds out
for everyone after a certain placing--starting with me.  Since it didn't
alter my order of finish, I figured it wasn't a battle worth fighting.
<sigh>

I'd suspect a similar problem in the example that you gave--except that it
looks like maybe the hold got taken out twice?
