[RC] Mares and Geldings - beth glover

Hi; I have been riding mares since I was a little girl. Well, throw in a few geldings. I have loved a couple of geldings, and I have hated a few too. I have had no problems at any time with mares pulsing down. I have had two mares  so far that pulse down into the thirties at rides. I think that choosing the gender of the horse is a personal preference and has to do with matching your personality with the personality of your partner-equinne. There are some witchy mares that I wouldn't even have at my stable, and there are courageous loving faithful mares. Likewise there are sweet and steady geldings, and those that are nasty biters (have had four on my property-now they are elsewhere).  A good riding gelding is worth their weight in gold, but a good endurance mare may be the future dam of many good riding geldings. Making her worth her weight in diamonds.
