[RC] re: computing ride times to Shayne - Teresa Van Hove

You're saying RM's official times were too fast. They should have done the math as you had it in your first post. Total time to complete = 10:30 for your example minus the total amount of hold times. Which would be a 9:00 ride time for your example - however I know a RM once tried to sum up all the times from start to 1st hold, out time to 2nd hold ..... doing that way could cause a mistake.

I think if the RM messed up the math uniformly so that everyone was too fast, or at least did not change finish order it is not a big thing, but you can certainly contact them and cc the AERC office, having spotted an error, especially if you suspect some finish order times were mixed up.

The only bad thing if all times or the last time is too fast is it may make the trail look easier than it was for someone wanting to use finish times to judge ride difficulty.
