RE: [RC] Saddle Poll - TeriActually if you look at the poll, not all of these saddles are endurance saddles. Wintec makes one endurance and the rest are basically english. Stuben is and english so I don't understand why people think these are just endurance saddles. It does not say what endurance saddle do you ride in. There are different versions out there from the same manufacturers, Big Horn makes Western and Endurance. While we are on the subject, I know the visual differences between Western and English but what makes an endurance saddle? They have versions of endurance saddles in the western style and the english. Back There are a lot of saddles out there and the "not listed" is has a lot of different saddles - no one saddle stands out. I am actually surprised that 78% of the people ride that responded found their saddle on the list. If I had it do over I would have put "not listed endurance" and "not listed English." Out of 181 riders at Tevis in 1999 that took the "tack survey", 31% rode English saddles. Only higher group was the 62% that rode endurance saddles.
