[RC] [Guest] Vosals- need advice please - Ridecamp Moderator

Tracy Cann EBBYPONY@xxxxxxxx
Thank you guys very much for the insight. I realize now that a Vosal would not be a good idea for this guy. I am planning on getting some Dressage lessons from a wonderful instructor in my area and I think that will help. It's just that at the last ride in particular he really pulled. Even on the 2nd day he tore up my hands and I wore gloves both days. He is really like sitting on a "cat on crack" at times like these. I certainly get my riding skills tested to the limit. Would it be a bad thing to put him in a hackamore when he's like this so I have a shank to help me out? He's come a long way in the last year but we have a way to go. His former owner bought him off a killer truck because he was pretty and sent him to multiple trainers, most of which sent him right back. After he hurt her I ended up with him. He's so tough and athletic I think he's worth the time. Thanks again. Any further insight is appreciated.
