Jerry, thanks for putting this out. two things:

1) do you have a pointer to the actual BLM draft plan?  It's hard to make 
comments on the plan without reading it.

2) the deadline for comment (15Nov - friday) is a bit close. more lead time 
would be helpful so that thoughtful comments can be made. Is there a way to 
get notification on the front end when these request for comments are made. 
Generally it's a multi-month comment period and we would be much more able 
to make constructive, coordinated responses if we knew when the plans were 
available and when the comment periods closed.

The comments (from the Wilderness Society?) which you passed to ridecamp 
identify interesting issues, but they take possitions with respect to 
alternatives in the plan which should be reviewed. Do you think the 
Wilderness Society is a group that AERC can work with in the area of 
evolving management of public lands?
