[RC] Help Gelding still thinks he is a stallion - Jonni Jewell

They might not have got everything when this horse was gelded. I have a
gelding that we were told had a normal gelding process, all removed. But, he
was acting like a stallion. Had a blood work done, and found he had a high
testosterone level for a gelding. Finally had a laproscopic surgery done,
and they found a testicle up near his abdomen. Once removed, all was
"normal". Also, often those who have a retained testicle, have worst
behaviors than a intact stallion. I would keep him away from fence lines
that he could get hurt in, trying to get to a mare, until you figure out
what is wrong.

Talk to your vet about running blood...go from there.
Jonni
