Probably none, but people like to whine.  I remember the first ride I went to 
where the respiration criteria was 40.  Becky and I looked at each other and 
said "that's crazy, it is impossible, we will never finish" but of course we 
did.  When I started riding endurance back in the dark ages of 1974,  the 
pulse/respiration criteria was normally 72/72, you had an hour at the lunch 
stop to get the horse down and we were always in a panic that our horse would 
not make it, but of course, they always did.....even the non 
arabs.............mb
