[RC] packing the kitchen sink--was vet drop bags - Andrea Day

I thought there were some good ideas that different people had regarding five day rides, so I gathered all the info from the vet drop bags thread and sent it to a friend who doesn't get RC.

When I got back her comment, I nearly did a spit take all over the keyboard. With her kind permission and under conditions of anonymity, I present it here.

"CRIPES! Maybe they should just have the vet checks in the parking lot of a drug store that doubles as a tack and feed store."

With lounge chairs.

Ah yes, I remember being young and not even bothering to carry a water bottle on a fifty. Now my poor horse's legs splay out when I start loading the cantle pack. With age comes wisdom (?) or at least decreptitude.

Better safe than sorry. And after all, just because you pay to do this sport doesn't mean being TOTALLY miserable, does it? Let me get out my rules book . . . .
Andrea
