Re: [RC] calm& cool - heidi

In the early days the horse I am now riding would come unglued at
endurance rides. My wife was riding him then and at one ride someone
asked me how much insurance I had taken out on her.

Someone suggested this stuff to take the edge off and I was riding him
for her at the time and I noticed that it had an effect on his heart
rate ( a good reason to ride with a monitor ). When we would slow down
his heart rate took longer to come down with it than without it.

So that's the last time we used it. From my experience - test or not it
has a drug effect and potentially an adverse effect for an endurance
ride. I would not advise using it.

Never mind that whether it tests or not, it is nonetheless in violation of
AERC rules....

Heidi
