[RC] [Guest] Susan's Possible mandatory after nighstay - Ridecamp Moderator

Elaine Parker elainep@xxxxxxx
Bob,

You wondered what would happen if the Ride Manager mandated an overnight stay after the ride. I can only say for myself that it would probably mean I'd be much less likely to go to local rides and would tend to "save up" to go to rides farther away that I have not yet attended. Sort of an incentive to try those other rides. One of our local rides is only 20 minutes away. I did actually stay the night after on my first 50, but I'll probably come home this year. If a stay was mandated this year, I'd skip it and go somewhere else.

Interesting concept. I still tend to be too independent to like any more mandated things than are necessary. If my horse had a problem and needed treatment I wouldn't dream of trailering him home. If he's fine and it's 20 minutes away I'd like to be free to go home and feed the dog.
