Re: [RC] How much flax seed to feed? - Frank TenterSusan, I purchase the flax seed at our local feed store. It comes in (I think) 20 lb sacks and they normally sell it for bird seed. I grind it in a coffee grinder I keep in the barn and feed about 1/2 cup daily to my mare. I started using it (recommended by my farrier) to help with my mare's dry feet problem. IT'S WORKING! Of course, its great for their overall health.
