Re: [RC] Endurance trucks - Heidi SmithAnother question for everyone, Does anyone drive in overdrive when on the flat and hauling? MY manual says you can if it doesn't shift to frequently but everyone I talked to says it strains the tranny. Just wondering if anyone would. Hey the car company just wants to sell you an new transmission...so why not put that in the manual. Heck, yes! Otherwise on the freeway I'd have the thing revved up to 2800 rpms or better! As long as I'm keeping it up around 2000 rpms (powerstroke diesel) in overdrive (which is about 70 mph) I use it. If I'm much under that, I drop back a gear.
